The best Christmas Ever!

I'm sad to say, once again I forgot my camera for the lovely Christmas Eve gathering we had at Memaw's house. These photos are of Christmas Day 2009. We woke the kids *very* early to see what Santa had brought them. Then, we drove to Flora to celebrate there.
It was the best Christmas ever.

Gabe's Thanksgiving 09

Gabe had a fun-filled Thanksgiving Holiday! When we visited Aunt Jill's house on Thanksgiving, he took off and played upstairs with Sophie in her new room and was rarely seen except to eat a little turkey.
Gabe had a great time in Flora too! He 'helped' put up PaPa Pat's Christmas lights and tree. He found a new hiding spot amongst the papier mache carolers :)

Halloween!

Calling Dr. Gabe! Gabe's costume was made up of the play doctor's suit (and tools!) he got for his birthday. He also insisted on wearing his converse sneaks and when I asked why, he said because Dr House wears them! He may be confused with Doogie Howser MD though!

This weekend we went hiking at various spots around Giant City- we took the camera hoping to capture some precious family photos. All I can say is: What a character!

Happy Birthday Gabe!

Gabe's birthday was low-key and fun! We took a mini-trip to Cape Girardeau, ate desserts at My Daddy's Cheesecake, rode rides at the mall, and it started raining so we stopped in a giant old house/bookstore/coffeehouse on broadway where they curled up on one of the vintage couches and read a story before heading to Memaw's to open presents! This was all on Saturday and Sunday he and Ayla spent the afternoon playing with the Cote girls and their puppies, running to exhaustion.

Peach Fest

Gabe was really happy to be at the Cobden Peach Festival! He ran from ride to ride and was disappointed he was too small to be on the bigger ones. Daddy won some peaches, too! Though they weren't as good as the ones we picked up in Flora the previous weekend (pictured above).

Meet Gabe in St. Louie!

A couple of weeks ago, we were able to take Gabe and Ayla to the Zoo in St. Louis! Of course, we visited the Arch too! Gabe got to touch the stingrays and see several animals up close. If you ask him his favorite part, he will tell you the mini train ride.
