He spent MLK day baking with his bestest pal Sophie. They were making shortbread cookies ( a very old family recipe ) It started out fun and lighthearted and then, not having a nap all day, proceeded to turn ugly, with Gabe dictating what should be done and how- especially with regards to the flour. Take a look:
Gabe was doing some nature macros of my house plants. It is amazing to see him work the camera.
Gabe has been cookin away the past couple of weeks. He has made: Red Cabbage and parsley salad, apple crisp, artichoke romaine salad, and rice crispies treats. He is really really into it!
Gabe has started asking the question- Why? I was loading the diswasher today and Gabe has to be right there within inches of dirty silverware. I told him to get back and he looked at me and said "Why?" I was a little taken aback because when I have been asking him the question- he doesn't ever have an answer- I just thought developmentally he wasn't ready for it. I answered "because I love you and I don't want you to get hurt on the silverware" He said "Oh! you love Gaby?" LOL. Later, he said "I want treat" and pointed to the plastic pumpkin (yes we're still rationing the halloween candy) I said "Why?" He said "because Gaby good boy". He promptly got a snack sized musketeer bar for that one.
